The Telly Awards
Forced with new realities of household waste during a global pandemic that forced many across America to stay safe and stay home, The Recycling Partnership set out to educate and engage residents on the importance of recycling. The new video series Recycling Makes Sense inspires residents to put their recycling to work, not to waste. The video series was accompanied by a blog post shared across multiple social media networks.
In 2021, the video was awarded a Gold and Silver Telly Award, recognizing The Recycling Partnership and its animators and producers in the categories for Online Commercials Craft-Motion Graphics / Design and Online Commercials General-Not-for-profit.
In early 2020, in collaboration with a 16-county region of North Central Texas, The Recycling Partnership launched a recycling education campaign intended to increase the quality of recyclables captured at the curbside. The initiative included digital and social media campaigns targeted at single-family households. Time to Recycle - Your Recycling Makes Our Community Stronger, a video used in pre-roll and on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter earned nearly 1 million views on YouTube alone. In 2021 the video was awarded a Silver Telly Award, recognizing The Recycling Partnership and its animators and producers in the category for Online Commercials General - Not-for-profit.

Heath Nettles transitioned to a role focused on strategically positioning Mission Health online in late 2013. By early 2014, Nettles, then serving as a digital media coordinator, recognized the opportunity for Mission Health to research, design, develop and launch a consumer-facing blog.
Within two years, Mission Health's blog had been recognized among the internet's Top 100 Health Blogs. Under Nettles' leadership as the director of digital and social media, the blog earned the #25 spot on the same list.
Now in 2018, the Mission Health Blog has been ranked #14 among the internet's Top 50 Health Education Blogs and Websites.

Mission Health's digital media efforts are no stranger to best-in-class recognition. In 2014, Mission Health was recognized as #23 among the nation's top 100 social media friendly hospitals. Between 2014 and 2017, Carolina Healthcare Public Relations and Marketing Society (CHPRMS) awarded Mission Health Gold Wallies for Interactive Website , Social Media Page and Facebook Live as well as Silver Wallies for its Instagram and Holiday Social Media Campaign. Mission Health's efforts to recruit nurses via Facebook Live was awarded the Golden Tusk in 2017. The organization's social media engagement regularly exceeds those of regional competitors and nationwide benchmarks.

Top 100 Social Media Friendly Hospitals
With social media being critical to educating, empowering and engaging health systems' diverse constituencies, the staff at NurseJournal.org gathered 2014's social media statistics for hospitals around the country. Evaluating more than 800 hospitals and analyzing Facebook and Twitter statistics to determine which health systems are doing the best job of connecting with their consumers through social media, evaluators assigned scores for each type of activity, with a total of 100 possible—50 for Facebook and 50 for Twitter.
